The Misericordia University men's volleyball team dropped two tough matches on the second day of the SUNY-Poly Invitational.

The Cougars lost 3-2 to SUNY-Poly and dropped a 3-1 decision to nationally-ranked St. John Fisher.

MU took the opener against SUNY-Poly, 25-19, but dropped the next two sets, 25-18, 25-23.

Down 24-23 in the fourth set, the Cougars got a kill from DePalma and two straight from
Austin Hand to win 26-24.

The Cougars scored five straight points to take a 14-13 lead in the fifth set, but the Wildcats answered with three straight to win, 16-14.

Anthony DePalma led the Cougars with 16 kills against SUNY-Poly and
Joe Kozak had eight kills, four aces and three blocks.

Kyle Ganoe had 22 assists and
Gannon DeFrain had 18.

Against Fisher, the Cougars lost the first set, 25-19, and took the second set, 28-26.

DePalma had 15 kills against Fisher and
Logan Romeika added 11.

Gannon DeFrain added 19.
DePalma was named to the All-Tournament team.
