The Misericordia University League of Legends team opened spring semester action with a 21-18 loss to Mars Hill University in an NECC activation game, January 25.

The Cougars looked to play around their Mid laner, Zach Hemond, and letting Jacob Prest and Shayne Spencer take a more supportive role in the bot lane.

Mars Hill started the game with a quick elimination in the top lane and followed with two more early eliminations.

The Cougars responded with an elimination and an early dragon and Jackson Garippa ganked the opposing top laner, which allowed Zack Grosvner in the Top Lane to become even in eliminations with his opponent.

Mars Hill took a few picks around objectives to take the lead mid-game.

The Cougars responded with an Ace on the enemy team to extend the game.

The game was even until a final dragon fight where Mars Hill secured an ace to clinch the win.

Zach Hemond had a game-high eight eliminations and recorded the most damage in the game.

The Cougars continue their activation games, February 1.
