The Misericordia University Rocket League Gold team lost to Waynesburg University, 4-1, in the NECC Eastern Conference quarterfinals, Wednesday.
 
Waynesburg came out strong with game 3-1, 5-1 win in the first two games.
 
Misericordia got back-to-back goals from Cameron Purrington and Tristan Cuellar to win game three, 2-1.
 
Waynesburg closed out the series with a 2-1 win in game four and 2-0 victory in game five.
 
Antonio Cordaro made multiple saves to keep the Cougars within striking distance throughout the contest.
 
Purrington had two goals and six saves on the night and Cuellar added two goals, one assist and three saves.  Cordaro had a goal, an assist and three saves.
