The Misericordia University Esports team opened its League of Legends season with a 2-1 win over Robert Morris University.
 
In game one, the Cougars played their game around the jungler Jackson Garippa, who had 12 eliminations and assisted Adithya Hanakere Virupaksha in the Midlane.  The game ended with a 25-7 MU victory.
 
The Cougars lost game two, 40-21, to even the series.
 
The Cougars changed their strategy in the finale with the bot lane duo of Shayne Spencer on Ashe and Amy Santayana as Milio to combine for a double elimination just three minutes into the game. Quinn Lachman had a strong Mordekaiser in game with eight eliminations which led to a 41-17 MU win in just 30 minutes.
 
MU will face York (PA), Wednesday at 8:00.
