The Misericordia University women's cross country is picked to win the MAC championship, according to the 2023 pre-championship coaches' poll.
 
Misericordia will host the event at Letterkenny Fields on 42^nd Street in Dallas.  The women's 6K MAC Championship meet is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
 
The Cougars earned 220 points, including 13 first place votes, to top the poll.   Widener, the defending champion, is picked second with 206 points and two first place votes.
 
MU, the third-ranked team in the Mid-Atlantic region, finished second at the MAC championships a year ago.  Misericordia has won five of the last eight MAC championships.
 
Grace Gallagher is Misericordia's top returning finisher from a year after earning second-team All-MAC honors in 19^th place.  Bri Wagner finished 30^th to make third team All-MAC.
