The Misericordia University men's soccer team clinched the third seed in the MAC Freedom Tournament with a 3-0 win at Arcadia in their regular season finale, Saturday.
 
Eric Goldberg had a goal and an assist and Anthony Yarabinee and Alfred Romano added goals.
 
Mason Hayward and Santino Jannotte combined for four saves to earn the shutout.
 
Yarabinee gave the Cougars the early lead with an assist from Max Jamieson at 6:37.
 
Goldberg added an insurance goal at 63:00 and assisted on Romano's goal at 81:34.
 
The Cougars won the ball off an Arcadia goal kick and Jamieson carried down the right sideline before his perfect serve found a charging Yarabinee in the middle of the box where he finished from six yards out.
 
Goldberg headed home a corner from Brandon Ebersole to give MU a 2-0 lead.
 
Goldberg rolled a pass into the box that was deflected to Romano who tapped a shot into an empty to make it 3-0.
 
The Cougars will travel to Stevens for a MAC Freedom semifinal, Wednesday at 7:00.
