Samantha Bardonner scored her first career goal to lift the #21 Misericordia University women's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Stevens, Saturday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
 
With the match seemingly headed toward a 1-1 draw, Sabrina Competiello played a perfect cross from the left wing and Bardonner volleyed it into the upper right corner with just over a minute remaining.
 
The Cougars took an early lead when Julia Beck headed home a corner from Brenna Field in the sixth minute.
 
Julia Beck scored in the sixth minute and Bardonner scored the game-winner at 88:41.
 
The MU defense held Stevens without a shot in the first half, but the Ducks pulled even in the 65^th minute to set the stage for Bardonner's heroics.
 
Lauren Mondor made four saves in goal.
