Jonus Gurski was the top finisher for the Misericordia University men's swim team on the first day of the MAC Championships, Thursday night at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, PA.
Gurski set a school record of 1:53.80 to finish second in the 200 IM while teammates
Gannon Schwalm and Ben Sorrentino were fifth and 14
th, respectively.
Jacob Rose and
Christopher Farrell placed in the B-Final of the 50 free while Nate Shappell and
Logan Kuhar placed in the C-Final.
Kuhar, Gurski, Rose and Farrell finished fifth in the 200 medley relay (1:36.72).
The Cougars are fifth in the 14-team field with 197.5 points.
Action resumes Friday morning with the 400 IM prelims.
