The Misericordia University men's volleyball team dropped a tri-match with Wentworth Institute of Technology at New Jersey City University, Friday.

The Cougars dropped the opener to Wentworth 3-0, before dropping a tough 3-2 decision to NJCU.

Against Wentworth,
Anthony DePalma led the Cougars with nine kills while
Jackson Fehnel had five kills and two aces.Â

Gannon DeFrain had 20 assists and
Joe Kozak had two blocks.

The Cougars took the opener against NJCU, 25-23, before the Knights won two straight, 25-14, 25-23.

Facing match-point, the Cougars got a kill from Kozak and took advantage of three NJCU errors to rally for a 28-26 win to stay alive.

Three straight errors gave the Cougars a 7-6 lead, but the Knights rallied for a 15-12 win.

DePalma had 17 kills against NJCU while Fehnel had 16.

DeFrain had 49 assists and
Alex Furlong had 13 digs.
