The Stockton men's lacrosse team pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Misericordia University, 20-16, Saturday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.

The Ospreys scored four straight goals to take a 17-12 lead and held off a late MU rally.

Michael Kilgallon III led Misericordia with four goals and three assists while Connor Bevan add four goals and an assist.

Ryan Vandenberg had three goals and an assist and Kyle Vandenberg added two goals and three assists.

Jake Miller had four groundballs and three caused turnovers and Trey Stasse and Spencer Sundeberg both had four groundballs.

Sean Wallace had 20 saves in goal for the Cougars.

Ryan Vandenberg and Bevan scored two goals each in the opening period as the teams battled to a 4-4 tie after one quarter.

Kilgallon scored twice in the second period and the Cougars trailed 8-7 heading to halftime.

Stockton scored six straight goals to open the third period to take a 13-8 lead.  Kilgallon answered with two goals around a Bevan goal to get MU within 13-11 after three periods.

Jared Pelliccione scored to open the fourth quarter to cut the margin to 13-12, but Stockton answered with four straight goals to take a 17-12 lead and the teams traded goals over the final 5:24.
