The #20 Misericordia University baseball team scored six runs in the top of the ninth to down Wilkes, 9-3, and complete a sweep of the season series.

Brady Madden had two hits, including a three-run homer in the ninth, and
Garrett McIlhenney and
Jason Sanfilippo had three hits each.

Max Oliver scattered six hits over six innings and
Tommy Tracey allowed just one unearned runs over three innings to pick up the win in relief.

Tied 3-3, Sanfilippo singled down the right field line to open the ninth and moved up a sacrifice bunt. McIlhenney doubled to right center to put the Cougars in front, 4-3.
Derrick Vosburg was intentionally walked with two outs and Madden made the Colonels pay with a three-run homer for a 7-3 lead.

Joe Comins reached via hit by pitch and pinch-runner
Jack Regenye stole second before
Connor Maryniak blasted a two-run homer to left center to make it 9-3.

Down 1-0, the Cougars tied the score in the top of the fourth. Comins doubled to right and Maryniak was hit by a pitch. Both runners advanced on a balk and
Brendan Gray drove in the tying run with a sacrifice fly.

Wilkes answered with a run in the bottom of the fourth and the Cougars took their first lead with two runs in the seventh. Gray singled, stole second and scored on Sanfilippo's single to left.  McIlhenney reached on a bunt single and eventually scored on Bollinger's single to center to give the Cougars a 3-2 lead.

Wilkes tied it on a two-out error in the seventh to set the stage for the Cougars ninth-inning explosion.
