The Misericordia University women's tennis team will face Stevens in the MAC Freedom championship match, Saturday at 3:00 at the Edgewater Tennis Club in Edgewater, NJ.
 
The second-seeded Cougars advanced to the title match for the first time since 2016 with a 5-0 win over Wilkes, Thursday.
 
Stevens, the defending MAC Freedom champion, reached the title match with a 5-0 win over Lycoming.
 
The Ducks defeated Misericordia during the regular season, 7-2.  This is the first postseason meeting between the schools.
 
MU's Brianna Pizzano was unbeaten at number singles and number doubles in the conference play.
 
Lydia Brecker, Erin Cridge and Lauren Visalli were all 5-1 in singles play in league matches.
 
Emily Brecker was 4-2 at second singles and teamed with Pizzano to go unbeaten at first doubles.
 
Hailey Loughlin was a double-winner for the Cougars in the semifinal win over Wilkes.
 
Pizzano was a double-winner against Stevens during the regular season while Emily Brecker joined her for a win at first doubles.
 
Stephanie Untermeyer was 4-1 at first singles in league play for Stevens while the Ducks have six players who were undefeated in singles play during the conference schedule.
