Post-game press conference

Brock Bollinger had three hits and drove in six runs as the Cougars reached the 40-win mark for the first time in school history.

Derrick Vosburg added three hits and two RBI and Jason Sanfilippo had two hits.  Garrett McIlhenney extended his on-base streak to 54 games and scored twice.

Steve Rinda allowed just one run over three innings in relief to get the win and got help from Tyler Leonard and Connor Maryniak for the last four outs.

Misericordia will play the Johns Hopkins/Baldwin Wallace loser in an elimination game, Sunday at noon.

Down 2-0, the Cougars went in front with three runs in the bottom of the third inning.  With one out, Jack Regenye singled up the middle and McIlhenney reached via hit by pitch.  Bollinger singled to left to drive in the first run.  Following a double steal, Vosburg battled back from an 0-2 to one-hop a double off the wall in center field to give the Cougars a 3-2 lead.

After Endicott regained the lead in the fourth, the Cougars tied it in the bottom of the frame.  Maryniak reached on an infield single and stole second.  Gray drew a walk off the new Endicott pitcher and the Cougars pulled off another double steal.  Regenye tied the game with an RBI-grounder to second.

MU went ahead for good with three runs in the fifth.  Vosburg led off with a single to right and went to third on Brady Madden's double down the left field line.  Joe Comins gave the Cougars a 5-4 lead with a sacrifice fly and Maryniak's squeeze bunt scored Madden to make it 6-4.  Gray dropped a bunt in front of the plate and raced all the around when the throw rolled into the right field corner to give MU a 7-4 lead.

Endicott got a run back in the top of the seventh and loaded the bases with two outs, but Tyler Leonard came on to throw one strike to complete a strikeout and end the threat.

The Cougars scored twice in the seventh and added four insurance runs in the eighth.  Gray singled past a pair of diving infielders through the right side and moved up on a sac bunt.  Regenye walked and both runners advanced on another sacrifice.  Bollinger lined a single to center to make it 9-5.

Josh Burger reached via HBP to start the eighth and Sanfilippo fouled off multiple two-strike pitches before dropping an RBI-single into right center.  Gabe Bun pinch-ran and stole second and Regenye drew another walk.  McIlhenney reached via HBP for the second time in the game and Bollinger laced a double to right center to make it 13-6.
