Misericordia University baseball standouts Derrick Vosburg and Garrett McIlhenney have been named to MAC All-Academic team.

McIlhenney, a senior outfielder, and Vosburg, a senior first baseman, were both third-team all-region selections.

He led the nation in three statistical categories, including a .591 on-base percentage, 80 runs scored and 33 hit-by-pitches.

In addition, he was second in the country with 53 walks and fourth with 46 stolen bases and set school single-season records in all five categories.

McIlhenney reached base safely in all 55 games this season and currently owns the third-longest streak in D-III history at 75 games.  The all-time NCAA record is 104 games.

Vosburg hit .329 and tied for the team lead with 68 hits while setting a school single-season record with 64 RBI.

Misericordia finished 40-15 and finished seventh in the nation after reaching the World Series for the second time in
school history.

Student-athletes must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.20 for the spring semester to be eligible for the
award.  The team was selected by the conference Sports Information Directors.
