The Misericordia University men's soccer team opened the season with a 3-0 win at Susquehanna, Friday night.
 
Nicholas Passaniti and Max Gariano scored goals and Reese Dieffenderfer had an assist.
 
Charlton Alonso had two saves and Mason Hayward made one stop for the combined shutout.
 
The Cougars went in front on a deflection in the third minute and then scored twice early in the second half.
 
Passaniti scored unassisted at 52:53 and Gariano scored just over one minute later.
 
Misericordia had a 10-5 advantage in shots and held a 7-1 edge in corners.
