The Misericordia University women's volleyball team won a pair of matches on the opening day of the Cougar Clash, Friday night on Doc Mould Court.
The Cougars beat Wilkes and SUNY-New Paltz by identical 3-1 scores.
In the opener,
Fiona Pyfer led the Cougars with 20 kills and 10 digs while
Meghan Peters had 11 kills and 11 digs.
Jenna Schuda had 36 assists and
Jessica Cleveland, Peters and
Cassandra Genduso all had four aces.
Sarah Kelly had a team-high four blocks.
Pyfer had 13 kills against New Paltz and Peters and Genduso had 10 kills each.
Peters added nine aces and
Sarah Kelly had five blocks.
Jenna Schuda had 29 assists.
The Cougars are 8-3 and will face Wentworth and Montclair, Saturday.
