Emma Sweitzer broke the Misericordia University women's soccer all-time scoring record to lead the nationally-ranked Cougars to a 4-0 win at Emerson, Sunday in Boston.

Sweitzer scored her second goal of the season to give her 126 points for her career and surpass Miki Bedics '06.

Sweitzer has 49 career goals and is three behind Bedics' all-time school record.

Sweitzer's unassisted goal gave the Cougars the lead at 16:22 and
Madison Brdaric followed with an unassisted goal four minutes later.

The Cougars took advantage of an own-goal in the 81
st minute and
Julia Beck closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 83
rd minute.

MU carried the play throughout and held a 22-8 advantage in shots.

Lauren Mondor made three saves to earn her second straight win.
Coach Stauffer's Comments:
"I felt it took us a bit of time to get our legs under us with the travel, but once we settled into the match we did a quality job of holding possession. We got forward and dangerous at the right times. With the heat, I felt our reserves made the difference for us today. They added energy each and every time they entered the match and kept us dangerous throughout."Â
