The Misericordia University women's volleyball team split a pair of matches at the Shenandoah Tournament, Friday night in Winchester, Va.
The Cougars dropped the opener to Gallaudet, 3-2, but defeated the host Hornets in the nightcap, 3-2.
Fiona Pyfer and
Meghan Peters had 15 kills each in the opener and
Cassandra Genduso added 14 kills and four aces.
Jenna Schuda had 36 assists.
The Cougars dropped the first two sets, but rallied to win the next two by identical 25-20 scores. Gallaudet scored five straight points to close out the match with a 15-9 win in the finale.
Genduso had a team-high 17 kills in the nightcap with Pyfer and Peters both had 14.
Schuda had 42 assists and
Jessica Cleveland had 14 digs and three aces.
The Cougars will play Mary Baldwin and Hood, Saturday.
