The Misericordia University women's basketball team cruised to a 59-38 win over King's, Saturday afternoon on Doc Mould Court.
Skylar Bianchi had a double-double with a career-high 27 points and 11 rebounds.
Jocelyn Grosch added 11 points and eight rebounds as the Cougars picked up their first MAC Freedom win of the year.
Caitlin Landgraf and Bianchi opened the scoring in the first two minutes with back to back jumpers to start out with a 4-0 lead. The Cougars never looked back and held the lead for the rest of the game.
Bianchi added another turnaround jumper to give MU an 13-7 lead with 2:47 remaining in the first quarter and only allowed King's to one basket the rest of the period.
Bianchi had a putback and Landgraf finished on the baseline off a feed from
Alyssa Bondi to give MU a 17-9 lead in early in the second quarter.
Samantha Casey found Bianchi for a three-pointer to extend the lead to 20-17 with 2:03 left in the first half.
Bondi added a three pointer and the Cougars led 26-17 at intermission.
Grosch converted a three-pointer with 4:50 remaining in the third quarter to give the Cougars a 34-24 lead and Bianchi followed with a jumper in the lane less than a minute later.
Skylar Dowling found Bianchi for a turnaround jumper to give MU a 43-27 lead with 2:32 remaining in the third quarter,
Alina Torchia and Grosch both made free throws to give the Cougars a 46-29 lead through the end of the third.
Bianchi had five baskets in the fourth quarter to give the Cougars a 59-36 lead with 2:07 remaining.
