The Misericordia University women's basketball team dropped its MAC Freedom opener, 62-36, Wednesday evening at Delaware Valley.
Jocelyn Grosch had a team-high 10 points and
Skylar Bianchi added seven points and 10 rebounds.
The Cougars took a quick 4-0 lead, but the Aggies went on a 14-3 run over the final 5:42 of the first quarter to take a 14-7 lead.
Grosch made a three-pointer to start the second quarter and Bianchi followed with a layup to get the Cougars within 14-10.
Trailing 20-12,
Skylar Dowling scored five straight points to cut the Aggies lead to 20-17 midway through the period.
Del Val stretched the lead to 28-21 at halftime.
The Aggies opened the third quarter with a 9-0 run and held a double digit lead the rest of the way.
Misericordia will host Stevens, Saturday.
