Ava Cirigliano both had a goal and an assist to lead the Misericordia University field hockey team to a 3-2 win at Moravian, Tuesday night.
Abigail O'Donnell gave the Cougars the lead with an unassisted goal when they converted a penalty corner just under four minutes into the game.
After Moravian tied the score 10 minutes later, MU went back in front with a pair of goals in a four-minute span midway through the second quarter.
The Cougars converted another corner when Cirigliano found Metress for a 2-1 lead at 19:34.
Metress added a much-needed insurance goal with an assist from Cirigliano at 23:05.
Emily Ervin made a defensive save for the Cougars in the final minute of the first half.
Moravian pulled within a goal with 10 minutes remaining, but
Sarah Bogina made her only save of the game on the potential game-tying goal with 30 seconds to play.
