The Misericordia University men's tennis team improved to 2-0 with a 5-2 win at Alvernia, Friday.

Chase Cavanaugh and Christian Mazza were both double-winners for the Cougars, including a 6-3 win at second doubles. 

Cavanaugh rallied for a 1-6, 6-2, 10-8 win at third singles and Mazza won 7-5, 6-1 at number four.

Derek Burcik won 6-2, 6-0 at number five and Noah Ceklosky won by forfeit at sixth singles.

Burcik and Eli Harding won via forfeit at third doubles.
