The Misericordia University Rocket League team defeated Robert Morris University, 3-1, Thursday night in the opening round of the NECC championships.

Chris Dindino recorded a hat trick to lead the Cougars to a 3-0 in the opener.

After Robert Morris evened the series with a 3-1 win in game two,
Kareem Jefferson scored twice to lift MU to a 2-1 win in game three.

Down 2-0 early in game four, the Cougars rallied and forced overtime on a late goal by Dindino.

Dindino added the game-winner in OT on a pass from
Brady Carmody.

Dindino had seven goals, two assists and three saves while
Brady Carmody had a goal, five assists and eight saves. Jefferson had two goals and three saves.

MU will face Université De Montreal next week in the NECC East Conference Semifinals.
