The Misericordia University women's basketball team fell to Penn State Harrisburg, 55-45, in a non-conference matchup, Saturday at the Anderson Center.
Ava Cirigliano led the team in scoring with 13 points in just 16 minutes.
Jocelyn Grosch controlled play along the glass with a team-high 11 rebounds, including nine defensive boards.
The Cougars took advantage of their 15 offensive rebounds and outscored the Lions, 13-0 on second-chance points.
Caitlin Landgraf put the Cougars on the board 13 seconds into the game. The Cougars broke a 6-6 with an 8-0 run to take a 14-6 lead after one quarter.
The Lions gained momentum with an eight-point run of their own to tie the score and took a 21- 14-14. PSU used a 23-point second quarter to take a 29-21 lead late in the first half.
Cirigliano made a pair of free throws and a three-pointer in the final 65 seconds of the first half to cut the deficit to 29-25.
