Tied 10-10, the Eagles scored the go-ahead touchdown with 6:53 left in the third period.

Eastern added another score with :19 to play in the third quarter and closed the scoring less than three minutes into the fourth quarter.

Jacob Hunter led the Cougars with 90 yards rushing, including a touchdown.

Trailing 10-0, in the second quarter, the Cougars put together an 18-play drive to get on the board with less than a minute remaining in the first half.

Taking over at their own 22-yard line with 7:50 to play, Hunter connected with
Jacob Hoy for eight yards to convert a third down on the first series.

L.T. Messick hauled in a 22-yard reception for another third-down conversion to the Eastern 46.

Hunter ran for five yards for a third straight third-down conversion to move the ball to the Eastern 32.

On fourth-and-6, a roughing-the-passer penalty moved the ball to the Eastern 14.

After taking more than seven minutes off the clock, the drive stalled at the Eastern nine and
Connor McLaughlin made a 25-yard field goal to get the Cougars within 10-3 with :46 left before halftime.

MU took the second-half kick-off and marched 81 yards to the score, 10-10.

Hoy had a 13-yard catch on the right sideline for a third down conversion to the MU 33 yard line.
