The Misericordia University men's ice hockey team used a third-period rally to earn a 4-4 tie in just the second game in program history and picked up a 2-1 shootout win over Brockport in the consolation game of the Buffalo State Bengals Classic, Saturday.

Patrick Toomey,
James Eng and
Eric Honold all scored in the final 10 minutes of regulation as the Cougars erased a 3-1 deficit.

Ryan Karbach added a goal for the Cougars.

Anthony Shrum made 30 saves in net.

Brockport took a 1-0 lead less than four minutes into the game and Karbach responded with assists from Eng and Toomey.

Brockport added a pair of second-period goals to take a 3-1 lead.Â

Brockport added a power play goal midway through the third period.Â

Toomey cut the deficit to 4-2 with an assist from Eng at 10:38 of the third.

Eng added a goal with assists from Toomey and
Colin Stow with less than eight minute to play in regulation.
