Box Score The Misericordia University hockey team dropped their final game of the 2024 calendar year, falling 6-0 to King's College in their MAC matchup, Saturday night at the Toyota SportsPlex.
 
The Monarchs took a 1-0 lead at 14:30 of the first period while on the power play.
 
MU was assessed another penalty at 16:02, but killed the two-minute minor thanks to three saves by Anthony Shrum in goal. 
 
King's tacked on four more goals in the middle frame, including two on the man advantage, to inflate their lead to 5-0.
 
The Monarchs notched a shorthanded goal exactly five minutes into the third period and locked down defensively to secure the 6-0 shutout win.
 
Jonathan Lush and Corbin Schiebel led the Cougars with four shots each. Schiebel went 10-14 at the faceoff dot. Eric Honold and Eric Kotkowski shared the team lead in blocked shots with two apiece. Shrum, Jake Perrin and Antoine Robidoux combined for 23 saves between the pipes.
 
Misericordia returns to the ice when they face off against Wilkes University, January 3 at 1:00.
