The Misericordia University women's basketball team's fourth-quarter rally came up short in a 69-59 loss to FDU-Florham, Saturday afternoon in the Anderson Center.

Alyssa Bondi led the Cougars with 16 points while
Skylar Dowling added 15 and
Jocelyn Grosch and
Skylar Bianchi had 12 apiece. Bianchi added a team-high 11 rebounds.

Down 55-40 with 7:27 to play, the Cougars went on an 11-4 run to get within 59-51. Bianchi had three offensive rebounds and three baskets during the stretch and Bondi drilled a deep three-pointer from the left win with 4:20 to go.

The Devils maintained a double-digit lead over the final 3:25.

The Cougars used an 12-3 run to take a 19-9 lead late in the first quarter.

Grosch hit a pull-up jumper from the right win and Bondi buried three consecutive three-pointers in a one-minute span to fuel the spurt.
MU led 19-14 after one period, but were held to four points in the second quarter.
