The Misericordia University women's basketball team ended the season with a 66-58 win at King's, Saturday afternoon.
Skylar Bianchi had 20 points and six rebounds as the Cougars swept the season series from the Monarchs.Â
Alyssa Bondi was 4-5 from three-point range for 14 points and
Jocelyn Grosch added 10 points.
King's scored the first six points of the game, but MU answered with a 12-4 run.
Bondi hit back-to-back three-pointers to the score, 10-10, and Bianchi's layup put the Cougars in front with 3:55 to go in the first period.
Bianchi added a layup to end the period and give MU a 19-15 lead.
Grosch drained a three-pointer to give the Cougars a 34-26 lead late in the second quarter and the Cougars led 35-28 at halftime.
King's scored seven straight points to open the third quarter, but Bianchi responded with a layup off a Bondi steal to put MU in front for good with 5:44 to play in the period.
Jordan Postiglione's jumper gave MU a 53-43 lead midway through the fourth quarter and the Monarchs never got closer than six points down the stretch.
