The Misericordia University men's volleyball team swept King's, 3-0, Wednesday night at Scandlon Gymnasium.  The Cougars won 25-19, 25-17, 25-19.
 
Jared Piontkowski had 14 kills, three aces and three blocks to lead the Cougars while Anthony DePalma had 12 kills and two aces.
 
Gannon DeFrain had 31 assists and Benjamin Clendening had four blocks.
 
The Cougars trailed early in the first set, but three straight points put MU in front for good, 11-9.
 
Piontkowski's ace capped an 8-4 run to stretch the lead to 19-13.
 
MU scored the first three points of the second set and never trailed.
 
Leading 8-7, Piontkowski had two kills to fuel a 7-3 run to give Misericordia a 15-10 lead.
 
DePalma had three kills and an ace as part of a 6-2 run to close out the set.
 
DePalma and Piontkowski had kills to cap a 4-0 run to break a 10-10 in the finale.
