Jared Pelliccione and
Connor Bevan combined for 18 points to lead the Misericordia University men's lacrosse team to a 19-6 win over Neumann, Tuesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
The Cougars scored 14 straight goals to build a 16-1 lead late in the third quarter.
Pelliccione had five goals and five assists and Bevan added five goals and three assists while
Connor Gundersen and
Ty Murawski scored two goals each.
Pelliccione scored twice in less than a minute to give MU a 2-0 lead with 11:36 left in the first quarter.
After a Neumann goal,
Brendan Stanley and Bevan scored to give the Cougars a 4-1 lead after one period.
Pelliccione opened the second quarter on a fast-break goal and then took an over-the-should pass from
Jake Louis to make it 6-1.
Bevan added three goals in the period as the Cougars took a 12-1 lead at halftime.
Pelliccione found Bevan from behind the net to open the third period and
Zach Kuhar ripped a shot from 15 yards out to make it 14-1 with 12:36 left in the period.
Pelliccione, Bevan,
Michael Scarpulla and
Joey Cloidt all had four ground balls and
Matt Coates made 10 saves in goal.
