The Misericordia University men's volleyball team split a tri-match that featured three nationally-ranked squads to give head coach Rob Wingert his 100
th career win.

Jared Piontkowski had 12 kills, three aces and three blocks in a sweep of #15 Marymount in the nightcap.

Zane Martin had six kills and three blocks and
Benjamin Clendening added five blocks.

Piontkowski had 13 kills and three blocks in a 3-0 loss to #2 Stevens in the opener.

Jackson Fehnel added six kills.

The Cougars played a thrilling opening set in the opener against Stevens as Piontkowski had back-to-back kills to give MU a 24-23 lead.

But, the Ducks answered with three straight points to pull out a 26-24 win.

DePalma's dink on the left side gave the Cougars an 11-9 lead in the second set, but Stevens scored nine of the next 11 points to take an 18-13 lead and went on to win 25-19.

Stevens raced out to a 16-2 lead in the finale and held off MU's rally to win 25-12.

Gannon DeFrain served MU to a 7-0 lead in the first set against Marymount. Two aces by Piontkowski and two kills by Martin gave MU a 14-5 lead.

Misericordia had three straight blocks to take a 22-11 lead and went on to win 25-12.

Piontkowski had a pair of kills to bookend a 5-0 run to give the Cougars a 17-14 lead in the second set.

Marymount battled back and had a set-point opportunity with a 27-26 lead. Fehnel's diving reception led to a Martin kill to keep the Cougars alive.

Another kill by Martin and a Saints error gave Misericordia a 30-28 win.

The Cougars broke a 12-12 tie with a 10-2 run on the way to a 25-16 win in the finale.
