The Misericordia University softball team split a doubleheader with King's, Thursday at Anderson Field.
The Cougars took the opener, 8-0 in five innings, but dropped the night cap, 15-1 in five innings.
Nikki Elliott had a double and a homer in the opener and
Erin McGee scattered four hits to get the win.
Bridget Doherty and
Mackenzie Fizer had two hits and
Casey Funesti drove in two runs.
Emily Susanj had MU's lone hit in the nightcap.
The Cougars took a 3-0 lead on Elliott's three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning of game one.
MU added to its lead with a two-run third. Elliott doubled with one out and
Kaitlin Redling walked and both runners came home on Fizer's two-out single.
Elizabeth Kelly singled in a run in the fourth to make it 6-0 and Funesti's two-run double in the bottom of the fifth ended the game.
