The Misericordia University softball team swept a doubleheader from DeSales, 4-0, 9-1, Saturday at Anderson Field.

Kaitlin Redling homered to back
Marisa Kelly's two-hitter in the opener.
Casey Funesti had three hits and three RBI in the nightcap and
Bridget Doherty added three RBI.
Russo gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead with a one-out solo homer in the bottom of the first.Â
Nikki Elliott was hit by a pitch and Redling followed with a two-run homer to make it 3-0.
Elliott reached on a fielder's choice in the third and later scored on a wild pitch to give MU a 4-0 lead.
Kelly allowed a two-out hit in the first inning and then retired 16 straight batters until allowing a lead-off single in the seventh.
Trailing 1-0 in the nightcap, the Cougars tied the game on
Elizabeth Kelly's bases-loaded single and went in front on
Bridget Doherty's three-run double in the bottom of the fourth.
MU added two runs in the fifth on Funesti's RBI-single and Kelly's RBI-ground out.
Elliott doubled in a run in the sixth and moved to third on Redling's opposite-field double. Funesti doubled to drive in two runs to end the game.
