The Misericordia University women's tennis team will open the MAC Freedom Championships when they host Lebanon Valley in the semifinals, Thursday at 4:00.

Misericordia is seeded second while Lebanon Valley is the third seed. Top-seeded Stevens will host Arcadia in the other semifinal.

This is the first postseason meeting between Misericordia and Lebanon Valley as the Dutchmen are in their first season in the MAC Freedom.Â

MU won the regular season meeting, 5-4, Saturday, in a match that came down to a tiebreaker set at sixth singles. Misericordia reached the MAC Freedom championship match a year ago while Lebanon Valley won its second straight MAC Commonwealth title.

The Cougars are led by three-time MAC Freedom Player of the Year
Brianna Pizzano, who is 9-0 at first singles.Â
Hailey Loughlin is 5-3 at second singles and
Emily Brecker is 7-1 at third singles.

Lydia Barbour is 12-0 at fourth singles and
Erin Cridge is 4-3 at number five.Â
Isabella Aniska rounds out MU's starting line-up at sixth singles where she is 4-1.

Pizzano and Brecker are 4-3 at first doubles and Loughlin and Barbour are 10-1 overall, including an 8-1 mark at second doubles. Cridge and Aniska are 3-1 at third doubles.

Lebanon Valley's Nicole Honrade 10-4 overall and 3-3 at first singles while Jacquelyn McBride is 14-4, including a 4-1 mark at second singles.

Sarah McComas is 17-4 overall and 8-2 at third singles.
