The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team dropped a heartbreaking 18-17 decision at Lebanon Valley in the MAC Freedom semifinals, Wednesday evening.

Michelle Torzilli led the Cougars with six goals and an assist and 10 draw controls while
Skylar Dowling had two goals and seven assists.Â
Rachel Shook had three goals and 13 draw controls to become MU's all-time leader with 318 draws.

Alicia Pileggi had three goals and
Molly Celesky added two goals.

After Lebanon Valley opened the game with three goals in the first four minutes, the Cougars responded with six straight goals to take a 6-3 lead.

Torzilli scored twice in the second period as the Cougars took a 9-6 lead midway through the second quarter.

The Dutchmen scored four straight goals to grab a 10-9 halftime lead.

Leb Val scored four straight goals to open the second half to build a 14-10 lead. Celesky scored a pair of man-up goals and Shook added a goal as the Cougars pulled within 14-13 early in the fourth quarter.

The teams traded goals throughout the final period, but MU was unable to net the tying goal.

Torzilli ended her career with school records with 235 goals and 286 points.
