The Misericordia University women's tennis team ended the season with a hard-fought 5-4 decision to Stevens in the MAC Freedom championship match.
Lydia Barbour won twice for the Cougars while
Brianna Pizzano and
Isabella Aniska added singles wins.
Barbour and
Hailey Loughlin teamed for an 8-6 win at second doubles, but the Cougars trailed 2-1 entering singles play.
Pizzano won 6-3, 6-4 at first singles and Barbour won 6-3, 6-3 at number four.
Aniska won 6-0, 6-0 at sixth singles.
The Cougars finished 14-3 to set a new school record for wins in a season and finished second in the MAC Freedom for the second straight season.
