The Misericordia University field hockey dropped a 3-1 decision at Kean, Tuesday evening.

Ava Cirigliano scored the lone goal for MU with an assist from Delaney Miller.

In an evenly played contest where both teams had 18 shots, Kean took a 1-0 lead late in the first quarter.

Kean took a 2-0 early in the third quarter and MU cut the margin in half seven minutes later off a penalty corner.

Miller took the insert pass from Emily Ervin and played a ball to Cirigliano whose blast got the Cougars within 2-1 at 54:12.

Kean scored an insurance goal at 57:06.

Sarah Bogina made 10 saves in goal for MU.
