The Misericordia University field hockey team dropped a tough 1-0 decision at Oneonta, Wednesday afternoon.
The Red Dragons scored the only goal of the game with less than five minutes remaining in the first half.
In an evenly played contest, both teams took seven shots and the Cougars held a slight 5-4 edge in penalty corners.
Sarah Bogina made four saves in goal and
Emily Ervin had a defensive save.
MU's best scoring opportunity came off back-to-back corners late in the third quarter when
Delaney Miller's shot was denied by an Oneonta defender.
