Anthony Yarabinee had two goals and an assist to lead the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a 4-0 win at Gwynedd Mercy and give head coach
Alistair Moore his first career win, Tuesday night.
Yarabinee gave the Cougars the lead in the 13
th minute and assisted on
Max Jamieson's goal two minutes later.
Yarabinee scored unassisted midway through the second half and
Drew Weaver closed out the scoring in the 88
th minute.
After beating two defenders on the right edge of the box, Yarabinee dribbled to the center and slotted a shot inside the left post to give the Cougars the lead at 12:19.
Just two minutes later, he beat a defender on the right flank, carried into the box and rolled a pass to Jamieson who finished inside the left post for a 2-0 lead.
The Cougars won a loose ball at midfield and played a through-ball to Yarabinee, who juked a defender at the top of the box and beat the keeper 1-v-1 before tapping a shot into an empty net for a 3-0 lead at 66:51.
Patrick Sipera played a ball over the top on a re-start and Weaver's header from six yards out caromed off the bottom of the crossbar for the final goal at 87:58.
Santino Jannotte made two saves to earn the shutout.
The Cougars carried the play throughout the evening and held a 29-6 advantage in shots, including 16-2 on goal.
