The Misericordia University field hockey team dropped a tough 1-0 decision at #23 Ithaca, Wednesday night.
Sarah Bogina made seven saves in goal for the Cougars while keeping the Bombers off the board for nearly three quarters.
Ithaca scored the game's lone goal with just 33 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Ava Cirigliano gave the Cougars their best chance of the night when she ripped a shot just wide right of the cage midway through the first quarter.
After the Bombers took the lead, MU had a chance to tie the score in the closing minutes. Cirigliano's blast off a penalty corner was deflected out of play with just over a minute to play.
