Balanced Scoring Leads MU Men to Big Win Over Haverford

Kevin Lazdowsky scored 21 points to lead the Misericordia University men's basketball team to a 104-69 win over Haverford, Saturday afternoon on Doc Mould Court.
 
Matt Prociak added 16 points and Jack Gallagher had six points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
 
Eli Soute scored nine points in 15 minutes and Dylan Wagner had eight points on 4-4 shooting in just nine minutes.
 
R.J. Weise, Arvel Chandler, Darryl Wright and Patrick Brown all scored seven points as 14 Cougars found the scoring column.
 
Down 4-2, Chandler drained a three-pointer from the left corner for the first of five straight MU three-pointers and the Cougars never trailed again.
 
Following a Haverford basket, Lazdowsky hit a three from the top of the key and Prociak followed with a three-pointer from the left corner to make it 11-6 just over five minutes into the game.
 
Lazdowsky buried  a step-back three from the top of the key and followed with another from the same spot to extend the lead to 17-8 with 12:48 to play in the first half.
 
Two free throws by Prociak and a floater high off the glass by Patrick Brown put the Cougars up 21-10 midway through the first half and they gradually pulled away.
 
Stoute scored on a fastbreak lay-in off a Darryl Wright steal and Gallagher followed with a putback for a 25-10 lead.
 
Brown capped the run with drive along the right baseline to put MU up 27-10 with 9:55 to go in the first half.
 
Lazdowsky buried a pull-up three-pointer from the top of the key and added a layup from the right block to make it 36-18 with 6:25 remaining.
 
Chandler sank a pull-up jumper from the foul line and Lazdowsky drilled another three-pointer from the left wing to extend the lead to 49-23 with less than a minute to go in the first half.
 
Haverford got with 59-42 with 14:05 left in the second half, but the Cougars steadily pulled away over the final 14 minutes.
