MU Field Hockey Falls at #11 Stevens

The Misericordia University field hockey team suffered its first MAC Freedom defeat with a 3-1 loss at #11 Stevens, Wednesday afternoon.

 Madison Lasinski scored the lone goal for the Cougars on a penalty stroke in the fourth quarter.

 Stevens scored midway through the first quarter and added to its lead midway through the third period.

 Lasinski cut the margin in half with just under eight minutes remaining, but the Ducks answered a little three minutes later to regain a two-goal lead.

 Lasinski had three of MU's five shots.

 Sarah Bogina made seven saves in goal.

 The Cougars saw their 10-game win streak snapped to fall to 14-3.

 Misericordia will conclude the regular season when it hosts Delaware Valley, Saturday at 1:00.
