The Misericordia University swim team suffered its first loss of the season, 168-74, Saturday afternoon at Scranton.
The Cougars opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay (1:51.47) by
Kaylee DePietro,
Lindsey Rice,
Brianna Foote and
Tori Ellex.
Rice gave MU its first individual win in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.7) and added a win in the 200 breaststroke (2:36.67).
Ellex won the 50 free (24.09) and 100 free (54.06).
The Cougars, 4-1, are off for two weeks before hosting the Cougar Splash Invitational, Nov. 21-23 at Dallas Middle School.
Coach Taylor's Thoughts
"This was likely our toughest head-to-head competition of the season and the women rose to the occasion. We swam a number of season-best swims, setting the stage for what comes next. It will be exciting to see how we perform in two weeks at our mid-season invitational."Â
