Misericordia University football standout Gavin Morris has been named to the D3football.com All-Region 1 team.

Morris was a second-team selection at linebacker.

Morris started all 11 games at linebacker and finished second in the MAC with 9.8 per game.  He was second in the league with a school single-season record 108 tackles.

He had six games with double-digit tackles, including a season-high 17 against Eastern, while becoming Misericordia's all-time leader.

Misericordia finished 7-4 overall and tied for second in the MAC at 7-2 in its first season under head coach Steve Cushing.

The Cougars made their third appearance in the MAC/Centennial Bowl Series.
