The Misericordia University men's basketball team placed five players in double figures to extend their winning streak to three games with an 84-78 win over Lebanon Valley, Monday night on Doc Mould Court.
Kevin Lazdowsky and
Matt Prociak had 19 points each and
Jack Gallagher had 14 points and nine rebounds.Â
Arvel Chandler scored a season-high 14 points and R.J. Weise added 12 points.
Lebanon Valley scored the first two buckets of the game, but the Cougars scored six straight points and never trailed again.
Tied 23-23 late in the first half, Prociak used a spin move on the left block to give MU the lead for good.
Prociak followed with a foul line jumper to make it 27-23 with 5:28 to go in the first half.
Gallagher drained a three-pointer from the right win and Lazdowsky made an up-and-under layup to give MU a 32-26 lead with 4:22 left in the first half.
Weise buried a three-pointer hit a three-pointer from the right wing and Chandler drained another three from the top of the key to make it 40-30 with 2:30 remaining in the first half.
Lazdowsky hit a three-pointer from the left corner and Weise followed a three from in front of the MU bench to give MU a 52-41 lead with 15:52 to play.
Lebanon Valley rallied to get within 74-72 with 4:38 left in the game.
Prociak scored six points as the Cougars answered with an 8-0 run to take an 82-72 lead with 1:30 to go.
