The Misericordia University men's basketball team dropped heartbreaking 82-81 loss at FDU-Florham, Saturday.
 
The Cougars rallied to take the lead with six seconds remaining, but the Devils hit the game-winner as time expired.
 
Kevin Lazdowsky led the Cougars with a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds and R.J. Weise added 13 points.  Matt Prociak and Arvel Chandler had 12 points each and Jack Gallagher added 11 points.
 
FDU-Florham jumped out to an 8-0 lead before Derek Smith got MU on the board with a three-pointer with 15:47 left in the first half.
 
The Cougars trailed 22-12 midway through the first half, but a three-point play from Chandler and a pair of three-pointers by Weise to pull even, 30-30 at halftime.
 
The teams traded baskets throughout the second half and Lazdowsky gave the Cougars an 81-80 lead with a layup with :06 to go.
