Neumann broke open a close game with five unanswered goals to defeat the Misericordia University hockey team, 7-1, Saturday night at the Toyota SportsPlex.

Jack Tos scored the lone goal for the Cougars with assists from
Brendan Vettraino and
Jack Powers.

After Neumann took a 2-0 lead with goals just over two minutes apart, Tos answered with a power play goal less than a minute later at 14:35 of the first period.

The Knights added a goal later in the period and scored twice in both the second and third periods.

Tos led the Cougars with four shots while Vettraino and
Corbin Schiebel had three shots each.

Vettraino added seven in 11 face-off opportunities and
Zachary Micciche had a team-high three blocked shots.
