800 Free Relay Claims MAC Gold, DePietro Breaks School Record Again

The Misericordia University women's swim team is in third place after the third day of the MAC Championships, Saturday in York, PA.
 
The Cougars have 811 points and trail Stevens and Messiah in the 11-team field with one day of competition remaining.
 
Kaylee DePietro broke her own school record in the 100 back and Cali White, Jenna Flynn, Lilly Bernard and Tamsin Formon won the 800 free relay with a school record (7:53.45).
 
After setting the school record yesterday, DePietro broke her own mark twice (58.1) to finish second in the 100 back.
 
Lindsey Rice was fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.1) while Chloe Amadori and Jaelyn Baxter were 21st and 23rd, respectively.
 
Caroline Kovacs finished 14th in the 200 fly (2:22.92) and Tempest Willequer was 23rd in the 100 back.
 
Action resumes for the final of competition, Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
