The #16 Misericordia University volleyball team won its third straight match with a sweep at Wilkes, Tuesday night.

The Cougars won 25-18, 25-22, 25-19 to improve to 13-7.

Jared Piontkowski led the Cougars with 16 kills and three aces while
Jackson Fehnel and
Isaac Griffin had 11 kills each.

Gannon DeFrain had 39 assists and
Richie Ragonese had a team-high eight digs.

Piontkowski has two kills as part of 4-0 run to give MU a 16-11 lead in the opener.

He had kills on three of the last four points to close out the first set.

Piontkowski and Griffin had kills coupled with two Wilkes errors to break a 19-19 tie in the second set.

Griffin and Fehnel had kills to clinch the 25-22 win.

Fehnel and Piontkowski had two kills in a 7-2 run that gave the Cougars a 13-5 lead in the finale.Â
Logan Romeika added back-to-back kills to make it 15-7.

The Cougars will host King's in their MAC Freedom opener, Thursday.
